Shannon Fire Station provides a bin for medical sharps disposal.Sharps must be in an approved container and labeled Sharps Waste or have the international bio-hazard label.Bio-hazard Sharps Container Requirement: 1 quart or 1 1/2 quart size container.No glass jars, soda bottles, or milk jugs are accepted because these containers are not puncture proof.If you have further questions, contact the Santa Clara County Department of Environmental Health, Medical Waste Management Programs at (408) 918-3400.
